Even the smallest seeds carry promise

In case you missed it—the beginning of the journey still awaits. You can step into the first edition of Let’s Regulate anytime.

Welcome to the second edition of Let’s Regulate.

This edition invites you into the quiet, often unseen work of becoming—where faith is formed in uncertainty, healing unfolds over time, and small, intentional choices begin to matter again. Through reflections, resources, and practices for mind, body, and spirit, you’ll find space to pause, to listen, and to notice where God is already at work—especially in places that still feel unfinished.

Step in, breathe deep, and let hope meet you right where you are.

There are seasons when God meets us not in certainty, but in the quiet act of showing up with what we have — even when it doesn’t feel like much. Lately, I’ve been learning that obedience doesn’t always look bold or confident. Sometimes it looks like empty hands, open hearts, and the willingness to stay present with God in the middle of it all.

This edition was shaped in those in-between places — where the mind is learning to name what it’s carrying, the body is relearning how to receive care, and the spirit is being invited to stand firm without shrinking back. Not from a place of arrival, but from the ongoing work of listening, tending, and trusting God one step at a time.

To the Dreamer exists for moments like these. Not to rush healing. Not to offer quick answers. But to create space — for reflection, for restoration, and for honest companionship with God along the way. The resources shared here are the ones that have been walking with me through real seasons of processing, surrender, and quiet courage. They’re offered gently, as invitations — never requirements — for wherever you may find yourself today.

Think of this blog as a place to pause. To breathe. To notice where God is already at work — especially in the places that feel unfinished. No matter what you may feel—you are not behind. You are not alone.

Heaven is cheering you on.
And so am I.

“Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.”

—Proverbs 4:23

This isn’t a polished message — it’s an honest moment from the middle.

In this first episode, I share from a season of wrestling, healing, and learning how to remain with God when clarity feels distant and the path ahead isn’t fully visible. It’s a conversation shaped by Scripture, story, and lived experience — not from a place of arrival, but from the quiet middle where faith is still being formed.

Together, we reflect on what it means to guard your heart without hardening it, to abide when healing feels slow, and to trust God again after disappointment. Drawing from the Psalms and the words of Jesus, this space invites you to pause, breathe, and listen for God’s presence right where you are.

When Empty Hands Become Holy Ground

What do we do when life feels uncertain—when doors close, when dreams are delayed, when the weight of disappointment presses in? Scripture reminds us that even in weakness, God is at work. If He could take the staff in Moses’ hand and reveal His glory, He can take what’s in ours too. This reflection is an invitation to consider how adversity, choices, and surrender shape our faith—and how, with Christ, what feels like “not enough” can become more than we imagine.

Set Apart Faith in a World That Tries to Shrink It

Sometimes faith feels fragile, quiet, or easily overlooked. This reflection explores the kind of faith that persists in the middle of adversity, trusts God’s voice when clarity is scarce, and grows not by our own strength, but by His sustaining grace.

It invites you to consider where doubt, fear, or comparison may have limited your trust—and how God meets us within our limitations, tenderly cultivating endurance, hope, and quiet transformation. Even when progress feels slow, dreams are delayed, or circumstances challenge your conviction, this reflection reminds us that faith is not fragile, your longing is not random, and every step of trust matters.

Emotional Truth: Recognizing What You Feel

One of the ways that’s been helpful in guarding my mind is by naming what I feel, instead of letting emotions blur into confusion or self-judgment. When emotions stay unnamed, they often take control.

When they’re named, they can be placed — not denied, not feared, but understood. A simple, free tool I’ve found beneficial is the How We Feel app. It’s designed to help you identify emotions, notice patterns, and track what impacts your mental state.

I want to be clear: this is not a replacement for therapy, counseling, or wise spiritual guidance. I am a strong advocate for mental health care, after years of counseling myself. This app is simply a supplemental tool — a way to untangle what’s happening internally so internal truth has space to speak. Healing is not just spiritual. It’s holistic.

Let’s Regulate | Our Body

Embracing an Appetite for Change

Sometimes what we’ve always tolerated is quietly costing us more than we realize. Pain, imbalance, and discomfort can become so familiar that we stop questioning them—assuming this is simply the way things are. Yet there are seasons when clarity arrives gently, inviting us to look again at what we’ve learned to live with and to consider what healing might require of us. This reflection is a personal journey through stewardship, health, and faith—learning to listen more closely, embrace change without fear, and trust the slow, often unseen work God is doing within us

A Change of Taste

This season has taught me the importance of stewardship as a whole: living with an open heart and mind, and being willing to receive the new things God is doing, even when they unfold slowly or in unexpected ways. What began as a health necessity has become a practice of attentiveness, trust, and long obedience.

In that spirit, I want to share a few of my own creations and renditions—what I affectionately call my frees. These recipe's are dairy-free, gluten-free, wheat-free, egg-free, corn-free, and cacao-free, not as rules, but as gentle invitations. They are proof that nourishment and joy can coexist, and that embracing change doesn’t mean losing what you love—it means learning to love differently.

Made with love, from my kitchen to yours.

Meal prepping has become a grounding practice for me — one that helps me make thoughtful choices for my health while reducing unnecessary waste. This recipe came together during a moment of abundance: extra sliced cucumbers nearing their limit, and a desire to use what I had with intention rather than let it go to waste.

The result is a light, functional refresher that supports hydration, digestion, and gentle energy. Green tea provides a smooth, antioxidant-rich base with a soft caffeine lift, while fresh ginger brings warmth and digestive support. Cooling cucumber keeps the drink clean and balanced, making it refreshing without feeling sharp or heavy. Lightly sweetened — or enjoyed as-is — it’s an easy way to rehydrate without excess sugar.

Crisp and cooling with a gentle warmth from the ginger and a soft, earthy finish from the green tea, this drink is best enjoyed chilled — in the morning, post-movement, or during an afternoon pause when you want refreshment without heaviness.

Eating out has become a little more intentional lately — the kind where you start asking what’s actually in the dish… and maybe carry a few just-in-case staples in your bag. If you can relate - don’t worry, you’re not alone. This bowl is from one of those moments when you taste something and think, I could totally make this at homewith some tweaks.

It starts with a sweet-and-smoky seasoned potato base, layered with sautéed sweet peppers, onions, mushrooms, and spinach — finished with creamy avocado or guacamole, a sprinkle of vegan cheese, and a drizzle of hot sauce for a spicy finish if that’s your thing. It’s satisfying on its own, or easy to make heartier with bacon or your favorite breakfast protein.

Perfect for slow mornings… or honestly, any time of day. Because breakfast doesn’t have rules — it just shows up when you need it most.

There was a season when this was something I’d order while out — a small pleasure, a familiar favorite. Refreshing, tropical, and always satisfying — but one I quickly realized could be just as enjoyable at home, with a few thoughtful tweaks.

Sweet pineapple meets the tang of fresh lime, blended with creamy coconut and grounded by a handful of kale and spinach — added not to overpower, but to quietly support the body with nourishment that blends right in. The result is tropical, refreshing, and surprisingly balanced.

I keep this one lower in sugar by swapping traditional pineapple juice for a version sweetened naturally with stevia. Some days I blend in protein or collagen for an easy, all-in-one meal; other days, I enjoy it just as it is — a cool, creamy treat that still feels good afterward.

Perfect in the morning when you want something light yet sustaining, post-workout when your body needs replenishing, or in the afternoon when you want sweetness without the crash.

These playlists were created in real time with the Lord through my own healing process—not from a place of arrival, but from the middle of the journey where I currently find myself. They were born through recent seasons of disappointment and uncertainty—moments of standing on a mountaintop only to find myself back in a familiar valley, and the slow, humbling realization that healing is not linear. There is no shame in falling again. There is grace in continuing.

Along the way, I’ve come to see how vital it is to give voice to what’s moving inside us—the tangled thoughts, lingering doubts, and quiet longings that often go unnamed. Expression can take many forms: journaling, prayer, music, counseling, or simply sitting in honest reflection. What matters most is noticing, naming, and allowing space for these experiences so our hearts can move forward, step by step, along the path God is gently guiding us through.

Together, these soundtracks trace the rhythm of the inner life—learning to trust God when the way forward feels unclear, allowing the heart to heal honestly, and making room for renewal as rebuilding begins. Each playlist is paired with a reflective, spiritually immersive devotional, created to help you sit with the music, the questions, and the quiet work God is doing within.

They can be experienced on their own, or walked through in sequence: When I Can’t See the Way for seasons of uncertainty, and Healing Hearts for the tender work of restoration that follows.

Wherever you find yourself today, there’s room to begin here.

Life’s challenges can often feel heavy and unrelenting, but adversity can also be a sacred teacher.

In Growing in Our Adversity, Charles Stanley explores how God uses difficult seasons to shape resilience, deepen faith, and refine character. Listeners are invited to consider how setbacks, struggles, and unexpected trials can reveal God’s guidance, strengthen trust, and cultivate a courage that carries us forward. This teaching encourages embracing the journey—even the hard parts—as a place where God’s presence is steady and transformative.

There is a quiet cost to living a faith that refuses to shrink.

In It’s Hard to Be You, Touré Roberts speaks to the tension of carrying God-given identity in a world that often misunderstands it. This message explores endurance, discipline, and trust—not as pressure to perform, but as formation that happens when obedience feels costly. For those wrestling with the weight of staying faithful while navigating resistance, delay, or uncertainty, this sermon offers perspective and encouragement for remaining rooted in who God has called you to be.

Living a faith that stands apart also requires inner honesty and growth.

In Grow Up in Love, Love McPherson explores how emotional maturity and spiritual formation are deeply connected, inviting listeners to examine the places where healing and surrender intersect. This message creates space to reflect on how God forms resilient, grounded faith from the inside out — through love that restores, steadies, and matures us. It gently reminds us that a set-apart faith is often shaped through the quiet, ongoing work God does within the heart.
